App Store Description

Gipsy Drum turns your phone into a sensitive, musical instrument. The gyro feels how hard you strike, changes volume and switches between up to 11 different sounds for each drum. Perfect to plug in on stage, record or to jam unplugged with friends.

The phone reacts to the rotating velocity, so strike with a rotating movement to hit a drum, like you were about to smash the phone towards an imaginary table in the air. This makes the drumming experience analog, like using a shaker or a real drumstick.

About the app:
* 12 700 sound volume levels
* Up to 11 different sounds for each drum
* Use your thumb to switch sound fast between snare/hihat, snare/kick or ride/hihat
* Use left or right hand, or have two phones to play more advanced rhythms
* Change volume sensitivity
* Turn open hihat on/off for hard strokes

I created Gipsy Drum because we wanted a rhythm instrument that my wife could use while she was singing in our band. If we used analog instruments, she'd have to switch instrument between verse and chorus, and there was no good way to plug it in. And all the drum apps I found were made for/by nerds, not musicians, and could not be played with feeling. So I coded, tested with the band, coded again, tested again, until the app worked perfectly when we played. Have a try and please send any feedback to me, I'd love to make it even better! :)

/Erik
