KEY GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE DATA CLARIFIED

We compare 10 years of consecutive salary and benefit expenditure data to the corresponding 10 year change in the per capita personal income of the tax payers who are paying for the government employee salaries and benefits.

PCPI (“Per Capita Personal Income”) is simply the total income of all the people in a particular city divided by the number of people in that particular city.

The Change in PCPI is adjusted for any change in population, we call this “population adjusted PCPI”
