Grad Knights is a 2D run & gun game about graduate school, crystals, zeolites (inorganic framework crystals), and X-Ray Diffraction. Lead your character through dangerous maps, avoid obstacles, shoot crystals to break them down into compounds and ions, discover hidden zeolite cards, and use them to help you on your journey. Pass all Ph.D. candidacy exams and finally graduate!

Game system:
- Player health = GPA (Grade Point Average)
- Elements = needed to activate a card
- Charge = cumulative charge of collected elements
- Cards = power-ups (conditions: proper amount of elements + zero charge)
- Supportive character (knight)
- Exam = timed boss

Rules of the game:
- Defeat crystals to obtain elements and grades
- Maintain a good GPA standing
- Pass timed candidacy exam
- Worse the GPA, higher the admissible GPA in the exam
