GS1 Cambodia is a non-profit institution, was appointed by GS1 International to administer barcode utilization and take on a leading role in Cambodia, Therefore, GS1 Cambodia was established on June 27, 2003 under the supervision of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC).

GS1 Cambodia is incorporated society, a part of global network of numbering organizations that exist to develop standards for supply chain management and electronic commerce. The GS1 system supports more than one-million-member organizations around the world and services the membership base in over 120 countries.
