What is it about?

Guard My Vote is the first release of a suite of tools that we call Social Impact Software. It’s the first mobile app that empowers voters with the ability to capture any efforts to suppress votes in the upcoming 2020 election, and alert local officials and the public in real-time. End-users will document localized voting experiences by answering brief voting-related questions and taking pictures and video with their mobile camera to instantly share tagged Tweets with local election officials, the Secretary of State and the public. Voters are also able to record an observation to capture isolated items such as a closed polling station, tech in all difficulties, registration issues and more. Within the app are resources to promote voter education, spread relevant news articles and help voters understand their ballot, polling locations and voting measures in their state.
