Habla y Lenguaje is an interactive, fun, and comprehensive speech and language therapy iOS app. Created by a certified Speech and Language Pathologist, this app is designed to work on all the basic speech and language skills, in English and/or Spanish. Perfect for both general education children, and children with disabilities. It provides different levels of difficulty, real life photos, text, audio, and instant feedback. It is a perfect tool to target therapy goals, and practice in a dynamic way. The games can be played in a group or an individual setting. It keeps track of children's performance and progress. Also, it provides parents with tips and examples of what to do to help their kids improve their speech and language skills at home.
The App includes the four main areas of Speech and Language development for children in elementary ages:
•Semantics- identify common vocabulary, categorize, identify functions of objects, synonyms and antonyms, space concepts, and answer wh questions.
•Pragmatics-work memory/follow commands (1, 2 or, 3 steps), inferences, emotions, and social conventions.
•Morphosyntax- sentence order, identify complete sentences, pronouns, past tense verbs, plurals, and sequences.
•Articulation- English and Spanish sounds production in the initial, medial and final position. The app allows the children to record themselves to have a clear feedback of their productions.
