Palm oil is everywhere.

It’s in our food, cosmetics, cleaning products and fuels. Palm oil is a source of huge profits for many multinational corporations, but it's destroying the livelihoods of local smallholders. Displacement of indigenous peoples, mass deforestation, and vast biodiversity loss are all consequences of our insatiable appetite for palm oil.

Orangutans once thrived in Indonesia’s lush rainforests, but over the last 50 years they have been forced from their
homes and killed. Orangutans are now listed as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Happy Orangutan’s mission is to equip as many consumers as possible with palm oil data for thousands of products to help them make ethically-informed choices when shopping.
