Hashfile

Bring your text file to life with Hashfile. Portable, simple, always offline, always available. Use it for your todos, your random notes that you always make but never know where to put or where you stored them.

Use it for your daily journal to record your thoughts and ideas and access/organise those ideas using our simple but elegant # filtering.

Hashfile uses the Files facility in IOS which means you can store your file in your cloud provider of choice and have it sync with other devices in any way you want. Most importantly - you own the data. There are no servers, no logins, no databases.

Encrypt your secret data with state of the art encryption (the same used by Boxcryptor) so you can never be without your bank account details on the go and you don't need an internet connection. Be warned - Hashfile is a zero-knowledge app - this means if you forget your password you cannot recover encrypted data. That is by design - because everything about your data is contained within the plain text that you own, then any inbuilt way to recover a forgotten password in the file itself would compromise the security of that data!

At its heart, Hashfile is a text editor - you can indeed browse, search and edit the contents of the raw file. But it has many more possibilities beyond that and we have a roadmap a mile long of amazing possibilities to combine the privacy, security, portability, simplicity and performance of a plain text file with the beautiful, interactive workflows make possible with IOS
