What is it about?

Healing Circle is a counseling app to help LGBTQ+ people going through tough times. It matches volunteer counselors that are older/have gone through the process themselves with people that need help. The overarching goal is to provide users with a safe space to ask questions and receive guidance from experienced counselors. To help personalize the experience, Counselors have personal bios where they could tell a bit of their story and inform users of the areas in which they specialize. App users could then message a counselor who they felt a connection with. Privacy is an important feature, with a random string used for logging in so that personal information doesn't get stored. Counselors can pre-select the number of app users they are able to work with to maximize the amount of users they can help, without overwhelming themselves.
