App Store Description

Herby the Terrapin is the first in a series of apps designed to teach young children about animals and basic pet management, through games and stories.

This is a safe and fun environment for children to learn without any pressure. By igniting their curiosity and engaging their young minds we want to inspire them to learn independently.

We also believe that parents are essential in the upbringing of their children and the story should ideally be read by a parent to their child. Slightly more complicated words have been added to encourage children to ask their parents and teachers questions.

With the story focusing on pet care, children will learn morals, simple scientific concepts and new words. The multiple choice questions will help to reinforce concepts taught in the story. By doing these questions, readers will practice invaluable comprehension and memory skills.

The game included is designed to teach players about the negative impact littering has on our aquatic ecosystems. With the user's wholistic development in mind we have created a game that allows children to develop their hand-eye coordination and reaction speed.

This app has been developed with the help of educational consultants who are currently teaching at primary and kindergarten levels in Singapore. With their guidance, we have ensured that the app will allow children to practice skills relevant to their education and wholistic development.
