Hip Charts brings NOAA ENC nautical charts to your fingertips... for FREE! NOAA charts automatically load as you move the map and can be downloaded via cellular or WiFi connections.

What's Free:
- Viewing charts via a WiFi or cellular connection will always be completely free. No catch, no limits.
- Downloading charts for offline use (for now).

Planned updates:
- Right now, everything is free. We will eventually add a very reasonably priced (think ~ $1/month) subscription paywall to use advanced features like downloading offline areas and route planning (pre-existing offline downloads will not be subject to this paywall, so stock up for free while you can).
- Route planning features (paid)
- Custom boundaries for download areas (paid)
- An anchor alarm (free)



This app does not fulfill chart carriage requirements for regulated commercial vessels under Titles 33 and 44 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
