The HiTag Research app allows citizen scientists (commercial and recreational fishers) to aid the Large Pelagic Research Center in collecting data on tagged fish.
Users who have re-caught a previously tagged fish can use the app to record:
- tag ID (via manual entry or scanning an RFID tag)
- photo
- species
- fork length
- GPS location
- date and time
