- All public profile photos you see of other users were taken via the app, so you can trust that What You See Is What You Get. You won’t see any edited, outdated or fake photos.
- When exchanging photos in a chat, we will mark photos that were taken with Hookd’s in-app camera. This way you can tell the photo is real and recent.
- Hookd gives an approximation of your location. Never an exact location.
- You can remove yourself from the feed and nearby view by deleting your post whenever you want. When you’re looking to connect, post again what you’re in the mood for and your post will be back at the top of the feed.
- You’ll notice that Hookd is blurred when in the background - this is to keep your privacy when switching between apps,
- Report an offensive user and/or block them.

YOUR POST
Hookd is offering an alternative to unsolicited messages. You will not be visible to other users until you post on the Hookd feed, whether you're in the mood for a drink, going out clubbing, finding a gym buddy, hooking up or simply looking for a chat with other gays. When you're ready to meet someone simply tap the "Post" button on the main feed and publish your personal ad.
Your ad will be pushed to the top of the feed for all the guys in the area.

YOUR PROFILE
Change your username, hide your age and/or your height, update your interests with tags, or take a new profile selfie photo - Hookd gives you freedom do what you want on your profile.


TAGS
Add relevant tags to your profile to mark your preferences, and they will be marked when there’s a match. Whether you’re looking for NSA (No Strings Attached) or LTR (Long Term Relationship), you will find the right guy with matching tags.
Chose tags you feel are best suited to your wants and needs. Vers looking for a bottom with a fetish? No problem. Just add the tags!

- If you pick the subscription option it automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
- Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
- Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
- No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period
