There’s never been an easier way to take Houston’s public transit. In addition to guiding you door-to-door on your route, ConnectSmart allows you to seamlessly buy, store and redeem tickets on METRO including bus and lightrail.
- You can purchase transit tickets at any time through the app’s Wallet feature. Digital tickets are safely stored and can be activated and used to board METRO directly through the app.
- Ticket purchases are seamlessly woven into the trip experience. You can plan a trip on Houston METRO, see which bus lines and routes are includes, purchase new tickets or even use tickets already purchased through your wallet.

Carpooling Made Comfortable

Looking to save money on high gas prices and avoid traffic? Form your own private carpool groups with people you know and trust including family, friends, coworkers, and classmates and get alerted when someone’s trip matches up with yours. If you’d like, we can even find the perfect carpool companion for your upcoming trip and pair you up with someone heading your way.

BCycle Integration

You can check real-time BCycle rentable bike availability at stations nearby and the number of empty spots on docking. Once you have your bike, you can enter your destination to view bicycle-specific travel times and routes in trip planner and get turn-by-turn gps directions through the bicycle navigation feature.
