Hue Camera Ambient Lighting

Hue Camera Ambient Lighting makes an effect similar to Ambilight using your Philips Hue Lights and the device's camera. Aim your camera at your TV or any other source and your lights will change color to match the scene you are viewing.

The app captures from the camera with continuous autofocus and exposure enabled and using sophisticated algorithms to figure out the most important color from the image.

Hue Camera Ambient Light features the ability to zoom up to 8 times so you can sit your device farther away from the source. You can also choose the brightness, speed of the color changes and individual or multiple lights to use the effect.

UPDATE 5:
The app now has the ability to use different colours from each quadrant of the image (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) or the full image. This lets you use 4 light strips on each corner of a TV!

2019 Update:
The app now uses the new Hue Entertainment SDK which allows for much faster light synchronization. Be sure to set up an entertainment area in the official Hue app first.
