App Store Description

The hydraulic calculator app is designed to determine significant factors in hydro plant projects, such as flow, pipeline information, power production and energy losses. The app is designed for CIV301, an undergraduate engineering course at University of Toronto, however, it can be used in other hydro energy related courses.

The calculator has five functionalities:
1. Determining friction factor, Reynold number and head loss of each pipeline and plant power generation based on given heads, flow, pipeline diameter, length and roughness.
2. Determining flow to generate require power based on given heads, pipeline diameter, length and roughness.
3. Determining diameter of pipelines to generate require power based on given heads, flow, pipeline length and roughness.
4. Determining flow, maximum power and total losses at the maximum condition based on given pipeline friction factor, length and roughness.
5. The app is able to draw energy grade line diagrams based on given pipeline and flow data.

- Determine important factors (flow, diameter, losses) for hydro plant designs
