INCLUSIVE ACTIVATION seminar, 5-6 November

Following a new momentum at EU level on active inclusion with the European Pillar of Social Rights and the Social Investment Package, the European Social Network is organising a seminar in cooperation with the Austrian Presidency of the EU and our Austrian member, the City of Vienna, focusing on how social services are supporting people furthest from the labour market to find and retain jobs through empowerment and autonomy.

At the European Social Network (ESN), we believe the time has come for a shift from an activation approach grounded on employment to a more holistic one - where health, education, housing and employment are all considered as important factors to improve outcomes for the social inclusion of vulnerable people. We call this approach Inclusive Activation.

To this end, we are organising the INCLUSIVE ACTIVATION seminar taking place in Vienna on 5-6 November 2018 focusing on:
- how social services can best support people furthest from the labour market,
- how to coordinate different services,
- how to enhance public, private and third sector partnerships,
- how to improve use of EU funds to support projects on social inclusion of people furthest from the labour market.
