App Store Description

This app is a rock climber's guide to the Melbourne area and covers a selection of the best climbs on eight of the most popular crags within one and a half hours drive of the Melbourne CBD. The guide content is from Open Spaces Publishing's high quality climber's guide "Rockclimbs Around Melbourne".

These cliffs are surprisingly varied and offer enjoyable climbing across a wide range of grades and climbing styles. Places like the You Yangs, Mt Beckworth, Mt Alexander and Black Hill are composed of typical Central Victorian granite, having short climbs on large isolated boulders in quiet bushland settings. The vertical faces of Falcons Lookout (Werribee Gorge) and Camel's Hump offer excellent single-pitch traditional and sport routes on unusual rock, while the sweeping sandstone slabs of the Cathedral Range are home to a wonderful selection of easier multi-pitch climbs.

Having your climbing guide on your iPhone or iPod touch gives you the ultimate in portability. You can comfortably carry it in your pocket up multi-pitch routes or flick through it during boring moments of your day.

The app uses the same iCrag engine as used in the popular and acclaimed iCrag - Arapiles rock climbers guide app. iCrag have created the next generation of climbing guides. Visit our website www.icragguides.com to see a video of the iCrag app engine in operation and stay tuned for the next iCrag guide to be published.
