iGAR

This application automates the risk assessment model known as the green/amber/red (GAR) model. This program supports three versions - the normal US Coast Guard model, equipment included as an extra parameter, and a model developed for the pacific northwest environment. In addition, the program accesses the NOAA forecast data for either an area specified by zip code or lat/long, or the area determined by the iPhone. Additional weather data is obtained from the National Buoy Data Center. Once completed, the GAR report can be emailed, providing a record of it.
