IHC 2018

WELCOME TO IHC 2018 - XXX. INTERNATIONAL HORTICULTURAL CONGRESS

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is an honor and great pleasure for me to invite you to the XXX. International Horticultural Congress (IHC2018) which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey between 12 - 16 August 2018. As widely known Istanbul is the only city bridging two continents, Asia with Europe, in the world. The motto of IHC2018 is decided as ‘Bridging the World through Horticulture’. It is heavily focused on research and innovation and will have training components related to various fields of Horticulture.

IHC2018 will provide an excellent platform for scientists, technicians, students, consultants, engineers, extension agents, growers, industry, trade and consumer organizations, policy makers and other professionals having an interest in horticulture.

IHC2018 will have a rich scientific program to allow a diffuse interaction among scientists as well as institutions. The symposia will have different formats tailored according to the topic. Now it is the time to announce the Symposia to be held under the IHC2018 which is the backbone of the Congress. Additionally, there will be Colloqia and Workshops, ad hoc training sessions and technical tours. Technical tours will be accompanied by Turkish experts and include historical and cultural components.

Istanbul, the hosting city, is the commercial and financial center of modern Turkey, former capital of Byzantine and Ottoman Empires and European Capital of Culture in 2010. Istanbul, herself provides enchanting historical sites, and modern attractions and sceneries to the visitors. You will also spare some time to discover the City and replenish your souls within the mysterious silhouettes of the old Genoese Tower, churches, palaces, minarets, old Genoese tower and ancient city walls. I am sure that you will feel at home with globally known Turkish hospitality and find a part to enjoy yourself in this magnificent city.
