iNanotube renders a carbon nanotube (an atomic scale wire) graphically in 3d representations.
With this app the world of nanotechnology comes alive literally in the user's own hands.
The user can manipulate and even construct these tiny wires using the touch screen interface, by rolling a sheet of graphene (a one-atom thin sheet of carbon atoms, whose discovery earned the Nobel Prize in 2010) into the form of a tube: a carbon nanotube.
An included tutorial explains the science and technology of graphene and carbon nanotubes.
