JamLink

JamLink is like a video conferencing app design for low latency audio transport to enable jamming with friends in a live environment. You might need it if:

- You want to play music with your friends over internet
- You are a music teacher and need to teach remotely
- You are using external audio inputs and outputs such as microphones
- You are just looking for an audio transport solution between iOS devices

Key Features:

* Jam session with up to 3 remote companions online with Audio and Video
* No accounts or login required. JamLink is using Apple’s Game Center to start jamming sessions.
* Send Game Center invites to companions with iMessage
* Adjust audio latency and AAC compression rates to the internet link speed and latency
* Select external USB Audio input and output
* Audio and Video is transported over peer-to-peer data links to provide lowest possible latency
* JamLink has an audio recorder that can play back the recorded audio synchronously.
* There is also a synchronised metronome available that plays the beats at exactly the same time for all users.

Please note the following:

* Network latency and bandwidth between player devices can be affected by many different factors. The best is if you join friends from same geographical region so that the network latency is not too heigh. For jamming with friends remotely, latency is extremely important. Therefore JamLink might or might not work for you. Please test the free version first and make sure it works for you before upgrading.
* Although JamLink has a live video conferencing feature, to achieve lowest possible audio latency, video and audio are not synchronised in this version of the app. I.e. Audio doesn’t wait for video to arrive before it is being played back to remote users.
* In the settings, you can configure the Audio compression rate and latency to optimise it to your network situation. It gives you the option to reduce latency at the expense of audio quality if needed.

Freemium App:

The free version of JamLink provides all functionality but the online sessions are time limited. We provide two In-App purchasing options to remove the time limits:

* Option 1: Annual subscription with a lower fee. You can cancel the subscription at any time before it renews again.
* Option 2: One-off lifetime version that removes all timelines for ever.
