===================================

Commonly, they say music is a second language, and this means that music must be learnt in equal sense as learning a different language. In other words, the basic areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing must be connected as one.

When learning the 'Theory of Harmony' using a basis that it is similar to learning the 'grammar' in language, one needs the process to increase the vocabulary (1000 Licks), read (reading the score), speak (perform) and write (improvised imitation of example).

Especially for Jazz, it goes further than the standard of natural expression of emotions (such as having a daily conversation or a lightly shared jokes) to systematic and intellectual expression similar to how a newscaster who speaks with high level of vocabulary and delivering tone. Therefore, one must be able to have a diverse command of Jazz by comprehending the structure and form of phrasing with rich musical vocabulary as a background. The core of this app is to learn one by one, step by step, just as if reading a book that introduces 'conversational skills'.
