JC Project Bonfire
There are currently over 4,000 children and youth under the age of 21 residing in Hong Kong’s residential care homes who lack parental support and the resources they need to thrive. To bridge the development gap, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has funded and initiated JC Project Bonfire, providing customised and comprehensive support for these young people to achieve all-rounded development.

The project has established the JC Positive Trajectory Fund and Framework to provide financial support for young participants. This assistance will help them to implement personal development plans and improve their social skills, while receiving continuous guidance and support from dedicated Trajectory Development Managers to facilitate their growth. As the first and largest initiative of its kind assisting Hong Kong’s residential childcare services, the project is collaborating with over 150 organisations to provide structured and long-term support to more than 1,300 children and youth across 80% of the city’s Small Group Homes, aiming to improve the youngsters’ social networks, resilience and self-esteem.

Social Capital Platform (SCP)
The innovative Social Capital Platform brings together over 150 institutes to provide structured, long-term support to C&Y, helping them establish a sustainable support network and develop positive identities within the community.

The platform incorporates data-driven features such as IDP management, fund administration, and resource tracking to connect C&Y with opportunities that promote their growth and well-being.
