About the Jewish Temple

Beit HaMikdash, The Jewish Temple, was the center of the Jewish spiritual world. It was built as part of God’s commandment to Moses in the desert, as is written in the book of ‘Shmot’-Exodus:
“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them”

The Temple stood high on the peak of Mount Moriah, also known as the Temple Mount, where according to Jewish tradition Abraham nearly sacrificed his only son Isaac as an act of faith. The Second Temple was destroyed in 70AD and its rebuilding has since been part of every Jewish prayer around the world.
