What is it about?

The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) at Navi Mumbai (formerly known as the Nhava Sheva Port) is India’s No. 1 container port handling 55% of the container cargo across all major ports in India. Initially, JN Port was planned to be a ‘satellite port’ to the Mumbai Port with a purpose to decongest traffic. In the pre- reform days, Mumbai port faced a lot of issues like shallowness of the channel, congestion on roads and railways through the Mumbai city linking the port to its hinterland, as well as labor problems. In line with the mission and mandate of the Institute, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust has been developed as an iOS app which provides a comprehensive package of information about Port Tariff, Shipping Line Tariff, CFS Directory, Concor Directory, Shipping Line Directory, port Closed Dates, Container Tracking within Port, Import container Tracking,Vessel Berthing Details, Vessel Arriving /Departure schedules, Daily terminal wise status, Notification/ Trade Notices etc. Road Traffic Update (GPS), Tidal/Weather Information Survey /Feedback. User registration & Login for All users who wish to use the Mobile application will have to go through a registration and login process. It is expected that this app will provide one stop solution to all Information available for JN Port at a single place.
