Joyful Eastie’s breakthrough is being a resident-led entity engaging our diverse residents in collective action to increase joy (sustained general positive emotional state). Our work is guided by the knowledge that joy lives in community.
An advisory board of leading experts in joy, culture change, and related fields inform Joyful Eastie’s work. This work will create a culture that increases your access to five evidence-based pillars: long, strong relationships; sense of purpose/ opportunity to contribute; physical exercise; meditation/ mindfulness; and fun. Our five pillars are based on highest-impact strategies for sustainably increasing joy—in an iterative process drawing on many relevant studies and review of research, informed and confirmed by consultation with multiple happiness and positive psychology experts.
