The portraits show both the dismay and uncertainty, and the resilience and tenacity of Katrina’s victims. The hurricane hit the Louisiana and Mississippi shorelines on August 25, 2005, now five years ago. These photographs were exhibited in the Amsterdam Photo Museum in 2006 and early 2007.
