Goalie App is a “Soccer Themed Augmented Reality Exploration Game” in which the player controls an avatar that moves on a real map based on the user’s current location. By moving around in the real world, the player will encounter hidden goalies that will pop up as they near them. When a goalie appears in the map, the user must get close to it to click it and start playing against it. When the goalie penalty challenge starts, the user is given a total of five (5) soccer balls to shoot at the goal. This penalty challenge kicks off the device’s camera, where the first goal of the user is to move around to find the goalie in their environment. As soon as this happens, the user can start shooting balls at the goalie with the purpose of scoring as many goals as he can.

There are several types of goalies in the game, based on their uniform’s colors, which will challenge the user in different levels of difficulty. The harder it is to fight against a goalie, the higher the score per goal.
