All the neighbors would come running, only to find out that what the rabbit had said was not true.

Then one day, there really was a wolf. But, he heard the rabbit’s prank and decided to teach him a lesson by eating him alive.

When the rabbit was caught by the wolf, he cried out for help but no one came to his aid. They had heard his cries before and nobody believed him.

Luckily, an old bear was passing through and rescued the rabbit from the wolf.

The bear told the rabbit, “This is what happens to liars. Even if they are telling the truth, no one will believe them.”
