KindShare is a community support platform developed by the Coalition of Persons with Disabilities - Newfoundland and Labrador (COD-NL), designed to bridge the gap between those who need assistance and those who want to help.
FEATURES:

• ASSISTANCE REQUESTS
Beneficiaries (disabled persons and seniors) can easily create requests for various types of assistance, including:
- Snow clearing
- Donations of food, clothing, and small electronic devices
- And more community support services coming soon

• VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers can browse available "good deeds" in their area and choose tasks they're willing and able to complete based on:
- Type of assistance needed
- Distance from their location
- Time commitment required
- Their own skills and abilities

• SIMPLE MATCHING SYSTEM
Our intuitive system helps connect people in need with those who can help. Volunteers receive updates about nearby requests, while beneficiaries are updated when a volunteer accepts their request.

• ACCESSIBLE DESIGN
KindShare is built with accessibility as a priority, ensuring that people of all abilities can use the app without barriers:

- Keyboard navigation support
- Simplified interface with minimal steps

• COMING SOON: RIDE SHARE
Our upcoming ride share feature will allow volunteers to offer transportation to appointments, errands, or to social activities for those who need it.

KindShare was developed in collaboration with the disability community in Newfoundland and Labrador to address real needs identified by community members.
