What is it about?

The KneeIN app is a practice support tool for primary care providers (non-specialists) that facilitates appropriate care and referral of adult patients with acute knee injuries. KneeIN consists of a sequence of clinical triage questions that guide primary care providers to direct care and referral (specialist, allied health, diagnostic imaging) based on injury severity – identifying appropriate categories of care (e.g., emergent care, time-sensitive specialist care, time-sensitive skilled consultation, exercise and education, or self-management) rather than a specific diagnosis. KneeIN incorporates clinical exam videos, patient information, and exercise resources, as well as links to provider referral resources relevant to BC, Canada. KneeIN is not intended to replace clinical expertise and reasoning.
