Der Kreisfeuerwehrverband ist der Interessenverband der Feuerwehren im Kreise Stormarn. Ca. 3200 Feuerwehrkameradinnen und -kameraden bilden die Einsatzabteilungen in den verbandsangehörigen 88 Freiwilligen Feuerwehren und 2 Werksfeuerwehren. In 38 Jugendfeuerwehren werden derzeit ca. 700 Jugendliche an den Feuerwehralltag herangeführt. Darüber hinaus sind ca. 360 Feuerwehrkamerdinnen und - kameraden in 14 Musikzügen organisiert.
