KVH Watch Remote Expert

Remote Expert provides a secure and highly interactive experience for sharing live video, audio, images, and freehand sketch overlays.

Remote Expert Interventions are requested by users at the KVH Watch Manager and approved by the vessel captain for procedural control and cybersecurity.

The Remote Expert app is part of KVH Watch, an industrial IoT connectivity as a service solution. Watch includes Flow, which supports leading maritime remote condition monitoring and optimization solutions. Flow and Remote Expert allow users to both monitor remote equipment at sea and to act on issues with expert assistance from technical superintendents, service providers, and OEM support engineers on shore.

Every KVH Watch service relies on the Watch Terminal and KVH global network of high-throughput satellites for optimized connectivity. The required KVH hardware and service is offered on a subscription basis for a fixed fee.

This application includes VoIP audio. Some mobile network operators may prohibit or restrict the use of VoIP functionality over their network and may also impose additional fees or charges in connection with VoIP. Please check the terms of your agreement with your network operator.
