The foundation of SUN Records, Chess, Hi Records, Atlantic Records, and STAX can be traced to KWEM Radio in the early 1950ís. †It was at KWEM that Arkansas Delta Blues artists melded with rural local Hillbilly artists and the blend produced new genres of music that took the world by storm...Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, the Chicago Blues, Soul, the Memphis Sound, and modern country.
