App Store Description

A series of portals, or doorways, have been strategically placed around Laguna’s downtown area allowing anyone with an iPhone to tour Menton, France. As you approach a portal, an arched doorway appears, and as you walk through that doorway you are walking into Menton.

As you walk the streets of Laguna Beach you will encounter 10 portals, and each portal will take you to a different location in Menton. You will start on Laguna’s promenade and be transported to Menton’s promenade where you will experience Menton’s annual Lemon Festival, including their imaginative parade.

You will use your phone’s screen as a window into this experience.

This app is aware of your location and is currently designed to only work in the downtown area of Laguna Beach.

Please use earphones or earbuds while using this app. An audio narration will play as you move from one portal to the next portal. To hear the narration again, simply touch the Redo control (the circular arrow) on your phone’s screen.

Once you’re in a portal, go ahead and look around--it’s a 360-degree experience.

Feel free to move around within the portal, but don’t venture too far-- the width of each portal is currently set to about 50 feet.

Each portal will remain open for about 90 seconds. When one portal closes you can begin walking to the next portal.

To discover the location of the next portal, simply touch the Navigation Arrow on your phone’s screen. The direction and distance to the next portal will be displayed momentarily each time you touch the Navigation Arrow.
