App Store Description

Launch Speed is a free app (with cool in-app purchase options) that helps you convert speed measurements reported during rocket launches and planetary orbital manoeuvres into more familiar measurements. From meters per second to miles per hour, MACH 1 at sea level to kilometres per hour you can now quickly convert the incredible speeds common in space flight into more understandable values.

With an interface designed to make real-time fine grain adjustments to your input speed values quick and easy and the complete freedom to adjust input and output speed measurements on the fly Launch Speed is ready to answer all of your real-time high-speed velocity questions.

Launch Speed also includes a handy MACH speed calculator that displays not only the speed of sound at various altitudes but detailed information on Earth's atmospheric layers with quick, single tap links to Wikipedia as well.

But there's more! Two premium upgrade options are available that deliver red or blue night vision modes as well as 10 premium fonts. With the free version you can adjust the display font to any of the standard iOS fonts but Courier is so 20th century. Hill House is the font of choice for today's space geek.
