Leadville is a platform founded by a group of pilots in 2019 looking to fulfill a gap within the aviation industry. Having studied aviation and experiencing the financial obstacles and lack of resources there are when getting a pilot certificate, we noticed a problem that needed to be solved. Becoming a pilot is expensive and timely.
Therefore, as young entrepreneurs, we decided to create a platform that could ultimately save students 30% of the total costs it takes towards earning a commercial pilot certificate. Based on FAR 91.109 (C) & FAR 61.51(1),(iii), you can save up to 50% of the cost for renting an airplane (pro-rata share), simply by finding another pilot who is also looking to build flight time.


Leadville is a resource that connects pilots and airplanes owners looking to share flight time; something we wish was available to us when we were students. Our goal is simple. We want to serve the aviation community and create a resource that allows pilots to save money, time, and ultimately get us to our mutual goal of flying.
