The 2021 Leaders’ Summit is being held at the Darwin Convention Centre on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 October 2021.

As the premier professional learning event for education leaders in the NT, it provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of innovative ideas to improve educational outcomes for children and students.

The theme of the 2021 Summit is Connection, Courage and Collaboration and will focus on priorities of the Education NT Strategy 2021-2025:

* Engaging every child and student in learning – supporting every young Territorian to be confident and creative individuals, successful life-long learners and informed members of country;
* Improving cultural responsiveness – creating safe environments in which children and young people belong, can celebrate their culture and identity, which makes learning more relevant and improves engagement;
* Building the foundations for learning – ensuring children have a strong sense of identity, wellbeing, are confident and involved learners, effective communicators and are connected with and contribute to their world;
* Strengthening instruction for young Territorians – taking a more systematic approach to instruction and curriculum delivery leading to better student engagement and learning outcomes, especially in a culturally responsive way;
* Building an expert education workforce – building individual and group capability across all educators, school and Early Childhood Education and Care leaders and other education staff in the system who support them.
* In 2020, our theme, ‘Beyond the Horizon’ saw us reflect, recalibrate and refine, as we looked beyond the horizon of our achievements to continue to drive school and system improvement.

In 2021, through Connection, Courage and Collaboration we will continue to focus on school and system improvement so that every child and student has equity in education and is at the centre of everything we do.
