Lagos State Emergency & Accident Reporting Service, LEARS is a mobile communications service provisioned to enable citizens living within Lagos State, easily and accurately report the occurrence of trauma incidents (like Road Traffic Incidents - RTI). It also makes it easy to communicate the location of incidents to emergency response operators at LASEMA and the ambulance crews of LASAMBUS. Each report initiated helps to geo-locate the position of a reported incident and of the incidents' reporter, enabling LASAMBUS crews respond faster to incident reports, thereby save more lives.

Lagos State Emergency & Accident Reporting Service, LEARS is a mobile communications service provisioned to enable citizens living within Lagos State, easily and accurately report the occurrence of trauma incidents (like Road Traffic Incidents - RTI). It also makes it easy to communicate the location of incidents to emergency response operators at LASEMA and the ambulance crews of LASAMBUS. LEARS mobile app will require access to the user's location services, running on their mobile phone, to make it easier to identify a reported incident's location. For a user without a smartphone, a USSD option for reporting trauma incidents is provisioned.
No personal nor individual identifying information for an incident reporter is required. However, from time to time LASEMA may require to make contact in connection with a reported incident, if there is a concern that the provided information appears inadequate.
