Some interesting statistics like a “ranking” show which are the most often played Leitmotifs thruout the complete Ring cycle. The App is a must for all Wagner enthusiasts.

The motifs were played by German pianist Volker Kolmetz on Steinway piano. Each Leitmotif is played exactly according to original notes which Julius Burghold already in 1910 had transcribed from Wagner’s score. The notes are displayed synchronous to the music. So, the Wagner friend can follow the music how it is played. The connoisseur will know what is played, however the layman will wonder. The music can be played continuously. In total the playback of all motifs takes about 20 minutes. Time to relax and to enjoy the “Leitmotifs” of the “Ring”.
