App Store Description

You can use this app to track items that you lend to borrowers.
The most obvious being a traditional library but equally could be an organisation which lend items to clients. A good example being social services who regularly lend specialised equipment to patients (and often never see them again). There is a growing business sector that is addressing the demand for reusability; Borrow then return. Toy libraries are a very good example.

Traditional libraries keep track of their loans using traditional library management systems. These systems are often very expensive to buy and maintain.

Lendsapp is a lightweight startup option for any organisation that wishes to lend it’s stock but does not need the overkill of a traditional library management system designed to deal with books and that’s all. Nor wishes to invest in server technology or internet connections.

LendsApp has been designed to deal with ANY item that you may wish to lend whether it’s a book or a pencil sharpener or a block and tackle. The software is designed from the ground up as a downloadable App from the AppStore and can run on an iPhone or iPad and does not rely for it’s use on an internet connection. Once downloaded the software runs stand-alone.

The software takes advantage of the device’s functionality too. A simple title for the item is all that’s needed and can be attached to a photograph taken by the device itself.
This is also true of borrowers, a photo can be stored together with the person’s name.

Backups too take advantage of the device’s ability to send emails and store data securely on the device using the industry standard SQLITE database.
