Lidl PLU IE/NI

We present our new PLU App for smartphones. This application allows employees to learn the PLU numbers of non-scannable items anywhere and at any time.

This application has been developed specifically for Lidl employees, so they can learn PLU numbers quickly and effectively. When working on the checkout, it is very important to know the items and the corresponding PLU numbers.

Methods:

In the "Learning" method the item names and the PLU numbers are practiced.

The "Training" method helps you better memorise the products and their associated PLU numbers.

Two training methods are available:

1. "item description" - this method displays an item picture and 6 possible item names. The goal is to recognise the item displayed and to select the correct name.

2. "PLU number" - this method displays an item picture and 6 possible PLU numbers. The goal is to recognise the item displayed and select the correct PLU number.

The goal of the "game" method is to check your knowledge of the PLU numbers.

An attempt is made to type the correct PLU number as quickly as possible for all 30 displayed items.
