Limelight Music - New Tunes

Limelight is the music streaming platform for discovering upcoming artists. We are here to kick-start careers of talented musicians by making their music accessible to a relevant audience.

When listening on Limelight, you automatically support these artists financially. They are paid for their streams on the platform. As a listener, Limelight is completely free, and the platform is also completely free of advertising.

If you love music and love to discover, the Limelight platform is for you. We have made discovering upcoming music easier than ever before - the music is automatically tailored to your personal music taste.

Limelight is a democratic music streaming experience. We bring power back to the listeners!

This version of the app consists of the following:

• Create profile / login
• 'Genre Preferences': Describe your preferences in 15 main genres (Blues, Classical, Country, Electronic, Folk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Metal, Pop, Punk, R&B, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Soul).
• 'Music Rollercoaster': You have 20 seconds to choose whether you want to 'like' or 'dislike' one song. This will be repeated 10 times.

When you create a profile, it will be tailored to your music taste. Here you can choose from:
• 'Quick customization': You select your genre preferences here (15 main genres).
• 'Full Customization': You will go through both the choice of genre preferences and the 'Music Rollercoaster' here.

When you have customized your profile, you enter the heart of the Limelight experience:
• 'Personal Radio': This is where you discover new exciting music from upcoming artists. Our intelligent algorithm keeps learning about your music taste when you like and dislike song in your 'Personal Radio'.
• ‘Playlists’: All songs you like in the app will automatically be saved in a playlist.
• 'Followed Artists': You can follow artists. 'Followed Artists' will grant you an overview of the ones you follow and you will be notified when they publish new music.
• 'Search': You can search for songs, albums / EPs, and artists here.
• Artist profiles: It will be possible to access the artist's own profile on Limelight. You will get a complete list of artist's releases here.
• 'Settings': You can reset your preferences here.

Permissions and privacy
We care about your privacy and it is very important to us that you feel safe. We only ask you for the permissions needed to make the artist’s and listener's experience in the Limelight app as good as possible.

Limelight has access to your location while using the app so the artists can get information about where their listeners are. They will not be able to search for specific individuals, but only have a rough overview of data. They can use this information to see where it is relevant for them to play concerts.
