Have you ever felt as if there was some things missing in your life
Lindsey Adams
What is it about?
Have you ever felt as if there was some things missing in your life? Or that you were inadequate even though you were still fulfilling society’s standard of what a wife, mother or simply a woman should be? It is easy to sink into everyday life, taking care of everything and everyone around you and forgetting yourself. Getting up routinely, applying makeup and masking your smile only to still feel the same emptiness behind it all. Is there still a woman deep within that loves herself? You know you love God, you recognize and nurture your families. You are submissive and honorable to your husband. What are you missing? Why do you still feel empty at the end of the day? Where is the joy and peace that a Godly woman possesses? That peace that can change situations and cast down strongholds. I asked myself those same questions at a point in my life and I began to seek God for the answers. I was exhausting myself by trying to be everything to everyone that I lost who I truly was. Yes, I was going through everyday life and appearing to be doing great at it. But deep down, there was an emptiness that I could not quite grasp the concept of why it was there. The Lord began to deal with me on the emotions of women and how we deal with things. He allowed me to see what I was hiding behind my makeup. He revealed my true self to me and I must admit, I did not like all of what I saw. I saw a woman bitter and disgusted but still smiling. I saw a mom irritated and exhausted but still caring. I saw a wife angry and confused but still submitting. That’s when I realized that things had to change. There had to be another way. We as women never make time to be women of God and to face our everyday trials and personal tribulations. We always tend to brush them aside and help others when at the end of the day, we have lost sight of who we are and who we should be. God has enabled me to help other women with this struggle by creating my brand, Who’s Behind the Makeup. My objective in creating this organization is to allow women to recognize the strongholds in their lives, to deal with them properly and to allow them to grasp back what was lost in the fire. WBTM aims to help you rediscover your true purpose, gain strength and peace in the things that the Lord has allowed you to overcome, and to realize that you are who God says you are and that nothing can defeat you that you do not give the power to. Ladies, our power lies within!! Join me in learning who is truly behind your makeup and let’s make a difference in our lives as well as those around us!
