Listen to Dance is an interactive spatial audio documentary about William Forsythe’s choreography »Quintett« by theater makers 2+ {Philip Bussmann & Célestine Hennermann}.
Listen to Dance features the original Ballet Frankfurt cast: Dana Caspersen, Stephen Galloway, Jacopo Godani, Thomas McManus, Jone San Martin, as well as »Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet« by composer Gavin Bryars.
»Quintett« had its premiere at Ballet Frankfurt in 1993. The project is an invitation to engage with the piece in a new way, to receive background information on its creation and to understand and experience the choreography anew by listening to it. The interplay of dance and music gives »Quintett« its strong emotional pull which explains why this piece can still be found in the repertoire of leading ballet companies all over the world.
Development supported by the NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NET – STEPPING OUT, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR, Hilfsprogramm Tanz.
