locGet

locGet is a logger that can record iphone location information, sensor value, volume, and video at the same time.
Please use it as a memory recording tool for research and development using iphone, physics teaching materials at school, mountain climbing and driving, cycling, travel, etc.

・ Sensor values ​​can be recorded at a specified frequency along with location information (latitude and longitude of the world geodetic system).

・ If you press the flag button during measurement, you can add a flag to the data. You can quickly find the time when checking the data.
(For example, if you meet a stray cat while taking a walk, press the flag button, etc.)

Output to file
・ Location information and sensor values ​​are recorded as a CSV file.
-The recorded CSV file can be edited as it is with the iphone application. Of course, it is also possible to output externally on a Mac (using Finder) or PC (using iTunes).
-Video data is output in mp4 format. (It is not recorded by default. If you want to record it, you need to change the setting.)
・ When location information is acquired, a simple KML file will be created.
-A folder with the name of the measurement date and time is created for each measurement, and each file is saved.

Data viewer
-You can display the location information (simple line drawing) acquired in the app and it on Apple Map.
・ Location information, sensor values ​​(graphs), and video data can be checked in synchronization.
-A blue band is added on the graph for the time when the flag button is pressed.
-By adding a line to the CSV file, user-defined numerical values ​​can be displayed in synchronization with location information and video.
(For example, calculate the power spectrum of 3-axis acceleration with Excel and add it.)

Switching settings
-You can name and save the types of items to be recorded and the types of items to be recorded, and switch quickly.

Please pay attention to the following points and perform a thorough test before use.
-Depending on the performance of the iphone used, it may not be possible to achieve the acquisition frequency of the specified sensor value.
-The more types of sensor values ​​to record and the more frequently the sensor values ​​are acquired, the larger the CSV file capacity will be.
・ Battery consumption increases as the number of sensor values ​​used for long-term recording and video recording increases.
・ It is possible to specify whether to display or record the sensor value on the screen for each sensor axis. You can save the battery.
