Acute Oncology is a new area of cancer medicine. It focuses on the management of patients with compilations of their cancer diagnosis and treatment, and the management of patients with an acute new cancer diagnosis. This App contains the official Acute Oncology Clinical Guidelines of the London Cancer Alliance (LCA), which covers South and West London and serves a population of over 5 million.
The guidelines provide evidence-based clinical information and protocols whilst allowing sufficient flexibility to reflect good local practice. They are designed to be used by all healthcare professionals, and take into account the wide range of clinical experience of the user, as well as the different clinical setting in which they work.
There is also a Directory of Services for the oncology departments of all organisations within the LCA, the aim of which is to facilitate communication between healthcare professionals in different hospitals, and therefore improve the quality of patient care.
This App has been produced by imagineear in partnership with CW+ and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, on behalf of the London Cancer Alliance.
