Lubax is a clinical reference tool for physicians that includes over 12,000 images of benign and malignant lesions. This is the first skin app that lets physicians search for information by simply taking a picture. This app is for physicians and is for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
The Lubax search algorithm compares your skin photo with our proprietary database and returns the best image matches. You can click on each result to learn more about the clinical condition shown in that image. This version of the app is for research use only and feedback received from physicians will facilitate further algorithm improvements.
With Lubax you can:
• Take a picture of a skin lesion and specify the exact region to search
• Using image recognition technology, search a database of images of the following conditions (Angioma, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Compound Nevus, Dermal Nevus, Dysplastic Nevus, Junctional Nevus, Lentigo, Melanoma, Scar, Seborrheic Keratosis, Spitz Nevus, Squamous Cell Carcinoma)
• Learn more about the conditions shown in the best-matching images, both from curated links and through a one-click web-search of the condition’s name
• Provide feedback to Lubax on search-result accuracy. Maintaining our mission of openness and continuous improvement, all feedback will be tabulated and published.
Thank your for downloading our app! We welcome all physicians to help us review and improve this technology for the future.
