The mission of Luminosity for iPad is to advance research and understanding of cognition. The app has over 25 games and daily workouts to test your cognitive skills and show you where you need improvement.

Test your memory at the beach. In this game, you tap any object to begin. Then as each new scene pops up, tap on an object that you have not tapped on before. More objects will appear in each scene, so remembering those you have already selected helps is where your memory is tested.

Problem solving with math. The chalkboard challenge requires you to pick the largest number displayed between two choices. Some may be simple numbers while others will require you to solve the equation. Pick the right answer and tap the Equal button if the numbers are the same.

Games and features. Categories for the games include: memory, attention, problem solving, flexibility, and speed. The app also includes statistics to monitor your progress as well as reminders that can be customized by day of the week and time.
